Study with the best
Not every teacher can make Maths both engaging and effective.
Some tutors avoid working with students who prefer humanities, focusing only on those who already excel in numbers.
We take a different approach.
At Cosmostudy, we entrust Maths teaching only to professionals — native speakers or fluent Czech teachers
who know how to adapt the curriculum to each student’s level, goals, and learning style.
They combine strong subject knowledge with empathy and creativity, helping every child discover that Maths can be not just understandable, but enjoyable.
What does a lesson look like?
When planning a lesson, we adhere to a clear but flexible structure:
Each lesson combines calculations, text problems, logic puzzles, and geometry problems. This provides a broad education and reduces the risk of failure in other subjects at Czech school such as Chemistry or Physics.
Part of the lesson is conducted with a timer, which helps children develop the skill of managing their time during exams.

Frequently asked questions
How long before the exam should I start preparing for the mathematics exam (CERMAT)?
Children learn differently — each at their own pace, with their own strengths, and their own reactions to stress. Success in math depends on many factors, and no two students absorb information the same way.
Still, thanks to years of observing how our students progress, we can already see some clear patterns that help us understand what really works.
Most Czech parents enroll their children in math courses a year before the exam. If we are talking about students for whom math is a difficult subject even at the school level, and Czech is not their native language, we recommend starting preparation two years before the exam. At the same time, if the exam is in Czech, special attention should be paid to understanding the subject's terminology and working with mathematical texts (problems), as they have many nuances and confuse children with a large amount of initial data.
In the case of a child for whom mathematics is not a difficult subject and who has no problems understanding written Czech, preparation one year prior to admission is acceptable, but it must be systematic and sufficiently intensive.
Our team consists of experienced native-speaking teachers (Czechs) and bilingual teachers who not only have an excellent command of Czech, but also understand how to teach foreign children.
We pay special attention to Czech mathematical terminology so that children do not encounter a language barrier during exams or at school.
That is why our students feel confident in both their knowledge and their language skills.
Who teaches in your school?
Yes, we have developed a special approach for such children.
Our teachers know how to explain complex concepts in simple terms, work at the student's pace, and create a safe environment where children are not afraid to make mistakes.
We know the difficulties that children who are more inclined towards the humanities face, and we know how to find a way to understanding, rather than just memorization.
The child begins to understand mathematics — and with that comes confidence.
Will your course be suitable for my child if he has difficulties with mathematics and is more of a “humanities” type?
Yes, and this is one of our main areas of focus.
The course is designed to provide a strong, systematic foundation in mathematics, which is necessary for successfully passing CERMAT and other entrance exams.
We not only teach, but also regularly conduct mock tests so that the child knows exactly:
-
what level they are at
-
which topics still require attention
-
and how to cope with the exam format without stress
We want to prepare for high school admission—does your course help with that?
-
Today, many schools try to make mathematics exciting with interactive simulators, apps, and even artificial intelligence. All of this really helps, but we have gone further.
-
What makes us unique is that we take into account not only technology, but also the neurolinguistic characteristics of bilingual and trilingual children.
When teaching the subject in Czech, we understand the difficulties that bilingual children face. One of the main problems is not mathematics itself, but unfamiliar or incompletely mastered terminology, which hinders understanding of the problem and slows down the search for a solution.
At our school, we take these characteristics into account: along with the mathematical material, the child also masters a special language block — language trainers with a mathematical focus. This helps to ensure that each term is understood and mastered, which means that language no longer hinders the child, but rather helps them to move forward confidently in mathematics. -
If we see that it is easier for a child to learn in their native Russian/English, we offer this option, but gradually add more and more Czech terms to the theoretical part so that the child can learn fully in several languages.
