Learn from the best

Not every teacher can make Maths both engaging and effective.
Some tutors avoid working with students who prefer humanities, focusing only on those who already excel in numbers. We take a different approach.

At Cosmostudy, we entrust Maths teaching only to professionals — native speakers or fluent Czech teachers who know how to adapt the curriculum to each student’s level, goals, and learning style.

They combine strong subject knowledge with empathy and creativity, helping every child discover that Maths can be not just understandable, but enjoyable.

What does a lesson look like?

When planning a lesson, we adhere to a clear but flexible structure:

Each lesson combines calculations, text problems, logic puzzles, and geometry problems.

This provides a broad education and reduces the risk of failure in other subjects at Czech school  such as Chemistry or Physics.

We will help you choose an educational institution and Olympiads in the Czech Republic or abroad, taking into account your wishes and your child's academic abilities.

Students results and Success stories

 Alex, 11 years old

Was studying for 7 months

Goal

Preparation in mathematics for admission to an eight-year secondary school. Main difficulty: the lengthy process of finding the correct algorithm for solving a problem, difficulties in understanding the conditions of the problem, especially geometric ones.

Result

Alex's mother noticed the results of his lessons after about three weeks of studying with us. Lesha began to complete certain types of tasks more quickly, which had previously taken him a long time, and developed his own system for planning his time for test assignments.  Lesha was admitted to the eight-year Voděradská Gymnasium in Prague, scoring 43 points in mathematics.

Frequently asked  questions

Why can you trust our approach?

Our approach is grounded in modern research in pedagogy, psychology, and bilingual education — but in practice it simply means this: we teach in a way that really works.
Step-by-step explanations, tasks adapted in two languages (Russian and Czech), and language-focused methods for word problems help children not just solve exercises, but understand mathematics.

Yes, you can hire a student tutor for 200 CZK — but чаще всего это эксперимент без результата.
Our lessons may cost more than the lowest market price, but the price includes much more than time spent in class:

  • access to an interactive learning platform

  • homework with feedback and ongoing consultations

  • a clear learning plan, progress tracking, and our own teaching methodology

We focus on real progress. Parents usually see changes within the first month — and that’s what we call a worthwhile investment.
Not just “studying,” but steady improvement, better grades, and growing confidence in maths.

Who teachers in your school?

Our team consists of experienced native-speaking teachers (Czechs) and bilingual teachers who not only have an excellent command of Czech, but also understand how to teach foreign children.
We pay special attention to Czech mathematical terminology so that children do not encounter a language barrier during exams or at school.
That is why our students feel confident in both their knowledge and their language skills.

Will your course be suitable for my child if he has difficulties with mathematics and is more of a “humanities” type?

Yes, we have developed a special approach for such children.
Our teachers know how to explain complex concepts in simple terms, work at the student's pace, and create a safe environment where children are not afraid to make mistakes.
We know the difficulties that children who are more inclined towards the humanities face, and we know how to find a way to understanding, rather than just memorization.
The child begins to understand mathematics — and with that comes confidence.

We offer two formats. We have individual lessons and mini-groups of up to four people. For some children, the individual format may seem more comfortable due to their individual characteristics (the material is presented too quickly or too slowly). But for others, on the contrary, socialization while learning a subject is very helpful, as it gives them the opportunity to see different types of solutions and naturally adjust their pace of work to more dynamic partners. Our recommendation is to try both options, because after studying in pairs, many students find individual lessons boring.

Do you only offer group training?

  • First, we analyze the child's level: strengths, gaps, attitude toward the subject.

  • Together with the parents, we develop an individual training plan, taking into account the goals: to improve grades, strengthen the foundation, prepare for high school.

  • In each lesson, the child works according to a strategy that corresponds to their specific type of thinking and learning goals.

How does the training work?
